After spending Monday to recuperate from the cruise, Tuesday was our day to visit the Kennedy Space Center. This was the day before the Discoverer was to land, so we missed that opportunity.
Included in our ticket was a bus tour of the area and two IMAX movies. It took all day to see (almost) everything. Our favorite experience was the Space Launch Experience, but it paled in contrast to Disney's version at EPCOT the following day. I was expecting much greater G Forces than we got. Not that I'm complaining!
We got shirts for ourselves (Larry's proclaims that "I WAS THERE!" to let everyone know that yes, he was there!) and mine advertises the Discovery space shuttle. They did have some serious souvenirs shops there.
