Mesa Verde

Not having reliable internet connections has its disadvantages. So does the lack of hook-ups!

We were parkers at the Mesa Verde stop and arrived in the middle of rain and snow flurries.
Not to mention it was cold and windy. What else is new?

Mesa Verde had very high altitude and many cliff dwellings. We visited both Cliff Palace and Balcony House - accessible by climbing ladders. It really was interesting and a lot of fun.

Cortez was the neighboring town and we spent some time there - visiting the Trading Post, quilt shop and Silver Bean Cafe (an old Airstream trailer that's been converted into a take-out coffee house).

We also enjoyed a very nice cookout of beef burgundy. Actually the French version of it, but I can't spell that. Whatever, it was absolutely delicious!
