Pojoaque

Monday was a driving day to Pojoaque. Dinner that night was at the beautiful Buffalo Thunder Casino (buffet). The casino is beautiful, inside and out with its collection of find Indian artworks and sculptures. We signed up for Players' Cards and I first got $15 of free play and then cashed out every time I won a bit of money. I ended up with almost $17 for my efforts.

Tuesday took us to Bandelier National Monument, where we walked a beautiful trail up to the cave dwellings. At noontime we went back to Los Alamos for lunch and then a visit to the Bradbury Museum that dealt with the atomic bomb.

Later we headed back to the Bandelier area to view the Caldera. There is still quite a bit of snow in that area and we also saw three large herds of elk - from a distance. The binoculars will now go in the truck on our sightseeing days.
